You Can Comeback

When life comes crashing down…

Sometimes life gives us the opportunity to start over, to really look at who and what we have become, to dissect our world spiritually, emotionally and finally, financially. We take a good hard look at our life, at our divorce, our loss of savings, the effects recession and all of the huge impacts in people lives due to the implosion of our economy.

I entered my 40’s confidently, I had structured my life, I assured myself that my choices would lead to a comfortable future.  Sadly, I did not know what I did not know, I do not come from money, I was self made.  When things started falling apart, the realization that I hired the wrong people to take care of my assets, was compounded by my advisers losing their own shirts as well and we all went down together.

The good news is, I have comeback…stronger.  It took a few years to just find balance after the shakedown, but I soon learned that I can self educate, I can rebuild. Watching friends self destruct due to their losses was hard, I went the other way, I embraced the uncertainty, and my reward for perseverance was a second chance.

I am not a financial adviser, what I learned about finances was from other non-financial advisers. I have learned to watch my own personal finances and to analyze deals.

I am here to serve and share

  1. How to start the process of knowing your OWN money.
  2. The tools I have used and continue to use
  3. Help ease the emotion tied to money

Today, I enjoy a career as a chef that many believe is a dream career, but as I grow, I search out freedom. As I help others, either in mentoring young chefs or helping people grow their own lives, I grow.  Personal Finance is now a passion and something I enjoy learning and passing on everyday.

Whether coming back or just starting out, there is always more to learn.
